Tribute Gifts

Tribute giving to Lahey Clinic is a terrific way for you to honor or commemorate a loved one, physician, or friend while furthering the Clinic's mission.

Gifts to Honor

A donation may be made to honor someone on a special occasion-a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or another celebration. When an honor gift is made, the donor receives an acknowledgement for tax purposes and the honoree receives a special notification in the mail. Honor donations may be designated to a special purpose at the Clinic.

Gifts to Commemorate

You may wish to commemorate a loved one, neighbor or colleague who has passed away with a gift to the Clinic in the person's name. Families may even choose to request in an obituary that donations be sent to Lahey Clinic in memory of a loved one in lieu of flowers. In this event, Lahey establishes a memorial gift account in the name of the deceased.

Every two weeks, the family is notified of donor names. To protect the privacy of each donor, amounts of the individual gifts are not shared. Donors receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes. When the fund is complete, the family can designate the use of the gifts within the Clinic.
