HONORING THE PHILANTHROPISTS AMONG US

ELIGIBILITY:
Current and former colleagues, whose cumulative outright gifts, pledge payments, and irrevocable deferred gifts to our Clinic total $10,000 or more, are eligible for induction.  Those whose lifetime giving totals $100,000 or more will be named Fellows of the Doctor Lahey Society.

ELEMENTS:
• A new donor recognition society established in 2007.
• An annual gathering of the membership that features a speaker of interest.
• Inclusion as one of the distinct societies in Lahey Clinic’s annual honor roll of donors.
• Presentation of a framed certificate, or other object of significance, for your office.
• A special plaque for the Doctor Lahey Society will be hung in the Clinic and will be updated periodically.

PHILOSOPHY:
In a group practice, we are all investors in our own success in many ways. Perhaps the least visible to date is our own philanthropy. New giving from thousands of our grateful patients, new construction and departmental funds, as well as Lahey’s institution-wide financial progress, give us a good context in which to honor colleagues who are generous donors to our own cause.  Lahey enjoys its current distinction and prosperity primarily because of the skill, teamwork, and success that distinguishes the care we give. We honor our professional accomplishments throughout the year, and the time has come to also honor those among us who support the institution with their dollars, in addition to their talents.
